Article in The Abergavenny Focus

Recently my colleague, Jane Grayer of Create Ceremonies, and I were asked to submit an article to the February 2024 issue of The Abergavenny Focus magazine. This issue was looking primarily at later years, grief and loneliness and so they were looking for a piece about the Love and Loss group we co-host each month.

The group is run as a ‘drop-in’ event meaning people can join us when they’re free and leave when they need to. We offer a warm, friendly welcome and attendees are free to share as much – or as little – as feels right for them. There’s absolutely no pressure. The conversation is wide and varied and flows according to the members of the group in any particular month – there is no fixed agenda. It’s just a time to get together and share stories, information, tears and laughter in a relaxed, non-judgmental space.

If you’d like to read the article, you can find it here.

It’s also available by clicking on the image below:

The group is held on the second Thursday of each month from 5.30-7.30pm (UK time). It’s currently online however we’re exploring the possibility of offering a hybrid session with a face-to-face option somewhere in the Abergavenny area. In the past we’ve also offered a weekend get-together for coffee, a walk and a chat. You can stay up to date on any events and also be part of our supportive and friendly Facebook community by clicking here.
