Exploring Grief and Loss in the BSL Community

I was recently delighted to facilitate a powerful and deeply moving workshop on Grief and Loss co-created with the wonderful Sara Rhys Jones. This event was created specifically for members of the sign language using community, offering a safe, supportive space to explore experiences of grief, bereavement, and emotional healing.

The session highlighted just how valuable and necessary these kinds of conversations are — and how much of a difference it makes when people are given the time and space to be truly heard.

We’re incredibly grateful to Cath Booth and Wales Council for Deaf People – WCDP for generously providing us with a beautiful, welcoming room and refreshments, helping to make the workshop possible.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. Participants found the session so supportive and insightful that we’ve been asked to offer it again — in a range of venues across South Wales, and potentially beyond, to make it accessible to more people.

If you’d like to be kept informed about future events like this, please feel free to get in touch.
