Several years ago, my colleague Jane Grayer and I collaborated during Dying Matters Week to create a workshop addressing grief and loss in our local community. As a celebrant and death doula and holistic wellbeing practitioner respectively, Jane and I are passionate about breaking taboos around death-related topics.
The workshop’s success led to the creation of our Love & Loss group, which initially met in person but transitioned online during the covid pandemic. We are currently exploring the possibilities of offering a hybrid approach with both online (Zoom) and in-person (Abergavenny, Monmouthshire) options, providing flexibility for participants.
We gather on the second Thursday of each month from 5:30-7:30 pm (UK time). To access dates, Zoom links, and additional information, join our Love & Loss Facebook group or reach out to me directly.
Our group operates on a drop-in basis, allowing individuals to attend when they can and leave when needed. There’s no fixed agenda; we follow the conversation’s natural flow based on participants’ needs.
Our primary goal is to offer a secure and confidential space for individuals to ask questions, express their feelings, or simply sit quietly without expectations. The group fosters warmth and welcome, encouraging attendees to join meetups and invite friends.
In between meetings, we maintain a supportive Facebook group where information and posts are shared. To join, click the button below.
