I recently had a meeting with the lovely Nicola Davies of Patchamama Wellbeing near Abergavenny.
I never realised that there was a herd of alpacas so close to where I live!
I met Nicola at the recent Monmouthshire Business Expo where she was sharing her amazing Wellbeing events, including Gong Baths and Shamanic Drumming sessions. I attended one of the drumming sessions on 20 August and I highly recommend them! To see details of future events, follow Patchamama Wellbeing on Facebook.
My visit was perfectly timed as, just the night before, one of the alpaca mamas had given birth to a gorgeous little baby – not the one in the photo, but a beautiful caramel coloured bundle of fluff and mischief 😀
I did get to meet Karmen (pictured) and her mum, Blossom. Nicola took me into the field and handed me a scoop of feed and several alpacas crowded round me – I was in heaven! Little Karmen was too small to reach up for the food so decided to nibble my trousers instead 😆
These animals have such a beautiful, gentle, soft, calming energy. I could have stayed there all day!
But I was actually there on ‘business’ . Nicola and I are exploring the possibility of me delivering some workshops in her wonderful space. She has a fabulous round circus-style tent that accommodates about 8-10 people, surrounded by 20 acres of glorious green fields with sheep, alpacas and even a couple of donkeys.
Our first workshop will be my Holistic Wellbeing for Dogs and Cats:
Date – Saturday 16 September 2023
Times – 13:00 – 16:00
